This kit includes the materials you’ll need to complete the quilt-along projects, making it easy to focus on learning precision piecing, color placement, curved illusion effects, and wedge geometry. Whether wedges are new to you or you’re refining your skills, this kit ensures you’re fully prepared from the first cut to the final stitch.

🧵 What’s Included in the WedgeWorks Quilt-Along Kit

Stabilizers & Batting

• Basic fusible interfacing for lightweight fabrics (15" x 3 yards)

• Crib-size cotton batting (45" x 60")

Fabrics

• 1 yard background blender fabric

• ½ yard ivory fabric (cut hot-dog style)

• 7 Ankara fat quarters

  • Two prints may match or be substituted with one ½-yard cut (hot-dog style)

Project Components

• 14" pillow form

• Zipper for pillow

To fully participate in all three WedgeWorks projects, please have the following on hand:

• Wedge ruler (required for accurate cutting)

• Bottom Line Polyester Thread – 60wt, 1,420 yards (ideal for precision piecing and minimal bulk)

During the WedgeWorks Quilt-Along, Janet Green will guide Batik Members step by step through wedge-based construction. You’ll learn how to:

• Cut and position wedges accurately

• Align seams for clean, professional results

• Use color to create movement and visual impact

• Build structured quilted projects with confidence

• Apply professional finishing techniques across multiple projects

By the end of the quilt-along, Batik Members will complete three wedge-based projects and gain the confidence to incorporate wedge designs into future quilts with ease.
